Construction and Application Method:
1. Ensure the wall surface is clean, dry, and free of dust.
2. Apply the fiberglass tape over the crack and press it down firmly to ensure full adhesion.
3. Confirm the crack is thoroughly covered with tape, cut the tape with a utility knife, and apply a layer of joint compound or mortar.
4. Allow the compound to air dry completely, then sand the surface lightly until flat.
5. Apply sufficient paint or finish coating to achieve a smooth, uniform surface.
6. Trim away any exposed or excess mesh tape. Inspect to ensure all cracks are fully repaired, then smooth the perimeter of the joint with fine composite filler to leave the wall surface looking clean and like new.
Glass fiber mesh cloth is produced from woven fiberglass fabric coated with an alkali-resistant polymer emulsion. This structure delivers superior alkali resistance, flexibility, and high tensile strength across both warp and weft directions, making it widely utilized for building interior and exterior wall insulation, structural waterproofing, and crack-resistance systems.
The fabric is primarily manufactured as alkali-resistant fiberglass mesh cloth using medium-alkali or alkali-free glass fiber yarns, with silicate as the primary constituent for excellent chemical stability. It is then finished through high-temperature heat-setting treatments using anti-alkali solutions and reinforcing agents.
Main Performance Features and Characteristics:
1. Superior chemical stability: highly resistant to alkalis, acids, water, cement corrosion, and other chemical erosion; exhibits strong resin adhesion and dissolves easily in styrene.
2. High tensile strength, high elastic modulus, and lightweight construction.
3. Excellent dimensional stability, rigidity, and flatness, resisting shrinkage, displacement, and structural deformation.
4. High impact resistance, driven by superior material strength and high toughness.
5. Mildew-resistant, anti-rot, and insect-proof.
6. Fire prevention, thermal insulation, acoustic soundproofing, and electrical insulation properties.
Primary Applications and Uses:
1) Wall reinforcement materials (such as fiberglass wall mesh, GRC architectural panels, EPS interior and exterior wall insulation boards, gypsum boards, etc.).
2) Reinforced cement building products (such as decorative Roman columns, flues, and precast elements).
3) Granite and mosaic backing mesh, as well as marble slab reinforcement netting.
4) Waterproof membrane backing fabrics and asphalt roofing waterproofing reinforcement.
5) Reinforcement for industrial rubber and plastic composite products.
6) Fireproof board and fire-retardant wall panel production.
7) Fiberglass reinforcement base mesh for abrasive grinding wheels.
8) Geogrid stabilization mesh for highway and roadway pavement.
9) Joint caulking tape, crack repair tape, and related construction materials.
